Day 13

Rob and I chose to hang out at the hotel and explore some of the Cairo neighborhood rather than join a GCT excursion today. We walked along some of the nearby side streets, looking for something to eat. We also spent time wandering the hotel’s gardens and pool area. Rob’s parents, however, joined the Cairo excursion which included a visit to a Coptic (Egyptian Christian) church, a mosque and a market bazaar.

That evening, our travelers assembled for a final group dinner at the hotel hosted by our intrepid leader, Hani, before returning to our rooms to repack for tomorrow’s flight home.
